Since I am a die hard Braves fan, I thought I would share this. I grew up watching Chipper and I’m going to hate seeing him retiring this year. He hit a hr on his 40th birthday last night. Hope he has a great last year and the Braves can bounce back from the mess of last year.

My advice for the next class of students is to live by the schedule that Dr. Lackey gives you. She puts a lot of work into preparing her class and expects you to simply stay on the same page that she’s on. NEVER,NEVER, I REPEAT, NEVEEERRRR PROCRASTINATE!!! Also do your blogs every week. Follow these rules and you will surely get an “A”. That is all.

This week in class I was able to see some of my fellow classmates presentations. They were all a work in progress, but they still helped to give me ideas on making my own. We also watched finished videos from past classes. They were great!!

WOW. This has got to be a record. The man rode a grey hound bus to Nashville, TN and decided to go on a crime spree. He done everything from stealing guns, robbing people at gunpoint, burning a dept. store down, and much more. He didn’t kill anyone though which is great. Have fun in jail.

This week in class we were given story boards which help to outline and plan the movie for Portfolio 3. Even though I didn’t complete mine, I’m sure it will come in handy when I’m in the middle of my video and need help organizing it.

This is basically a guide to quit smoking. The audience is obviously “smokers” in general. This is a great piece of writing. The writer moves away from scare tactics and acts as if they are face to face with someone who is smoking and talking in a pleasent manner. It starts off by telling why it is so hard to quit smoking, then moves to why a person should quit smoking. The end tells the benefits of quitting. The author puts the information in a very convincing manner. I will surely be taking pointers from this piece in working on my video.

This video gives me alot of ideas on how to make my movie. It uses many methods such as, scare tactics, emotional appeals, etc. While at the same time it has very logical information and data that makes since.
